Gazzang Names Product Director

Austin-based Gazzang, the Austin Ventures-backed startup developing cloud infrastructure software, said today that it has named Mike Frank as its Director of Products. The firm said that Frank will be responsible for product development strategy, including pricing, packaging and competitive positioning of the firm's products. Frank previously was at Oracle, focused on MySQL, and also has served at Idera, PentaSafe Security Technologies, and NetIQ Corporation. Gazzang is headed by Larry Warnock, formerly of Phurnace Software. Gazzang recently fueled up with $3.5M in venture funding in December for its cloud security software.
