Valence Powers Courb Electric Vehicle

Austin-based Valence Technology, a developer of battery products, said Thursday that it is supplying the lithium phosphate batteries for a new electric vehicle from auto firm Courb. According to Valence, its batteries are being used in the C-ZEN vehicle being launched by Courb at the Geneva Motor show this week. Expected financial impact of the win were not disclosed. Valence said it has been working with Courb for the last two years. The C-ZEN is an all-electric vehicle targeted at urban commuters in Europe.
