Texas Firm At Heart Of Data Breach

Irving, Texas-based Episilon, a provider of email marketing services, has suffered a major data breach, which has affected customers of Best Buy, Capital One, Citi, JP Morgan Chase, and many others. Epsilon said Monday that a subset of its clients' customer data were exposed by unauthorized entry into its email system on March 30th. Those various companies have been sending out warning emails to their clients about the breach, warning users to be on the alert for phishing and other security risks.
