LoneStar Heart Gets $20M For Heart Repair Technology
LoneStar Heart, a life sciences firm whose technology is based on research out fo the Texas Heart Institute, the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and which has operations in Dallas, said today that it has raised $20M in funding. The funding cames from Chinese investors Themes Investment Partners. LoneStar Heart has operations in both Dallas and in California, and is developing cardiac stem-cell modulators, and cellular and genetic therapies aimed at helping the heart to repair itself.
