Two Texas Groups In Top List of Venture Accelerators

Two Texas "venture accelerators", Tech Wildcatter in Dallas and Capital Factory in Austin, are among the top venture acceleration efforts in the country, according to a list released this week compiled as part of the Kauffman Fellows Program. The study, conducted by Aziz Gilani of DFJ Mercury, found that Tech Wildcatter was the number 8 program in the country, and Capital Factory was number 11. Venture acceleration groups look to help startups get funding and increase their chances of success in the market. The study used the number of financing events from companies attending the programs, the success of companies coming out of the accelerators, as well as the structure of those accelerator programs.
