MapMyFITNESS Finds CEO

Austin-based MapMyFITNESS, the developer of fitness websites and mobile applications, said today that it has named Richard Jalichandra as Chief Executive Officer. Current CEO Thurston remains on the firm's board of directors. Jalichandra joins the company from Technorati Media, and also is an advisor to Weather Underground, MyYearbook and Skimlinks. Jalichandra also has served as an EIR at Battery Ventures, in addition to business development roles at Exponential Interactive, Fox Interactive Media, IGN Entertainment, Lycos, Neopost, and Answerthink. He also founded K23 Creative Services. MapMyFITNESS is venture backed by Austin Ventures.
