Diodes Invests In Taiwanese Firm

Plano-based Diodes Incorporated, the manufacturer of analog semiconductors, said today that it has invested in a Taiwanese component maker. Diodes said it has agreed to invest in ERis Technology Corporation, which provides design, manufacturing and after-market services for diode products. Diodes will have the opportunity to acquire up to approximately $14M in stock, or 10 million share sof Eris stock; the firm is guaranteed a minimum of 8 million shares, or 24 percent ownership in Eris. Eris trades on the Taiwan OTC Exchange.
