GENBAND Names Networking Exec

Frisco-based GENBAND has named a new head of its Networking and Applications division, the firm announced today. The firm said it has appointed B.G. Kumar as President of Networking and Applications, reporting directly to CEO Charlie Vogt. Kumar will be based in Frisco, but also will oversee GENBAND's Billerica, Mass. campus. Kumar was most recently EVP of Engineering and Operations at Mavenir Sytsems, and also has served at Tekelec and Vocal Data, along with Bell Labs/Lucent Technologies.
