Dell Launches Public Cloud

Round Rock-based Dell said today that it has launched its first, public cloud offering, Dell Cloud. Dell said that the new public cloud product--powered by VMware--offers up a multitentant environment for running virtual systems. Dell said it is aiming at providing a secure, enterprise solution for its customers. Dell is targeting companies, hosting and outsourcing firms, system integrators and service providers with the new cloud computing offering. Pricing on the new cloud offering was not announced.
