HelioVolt Gains $50M From South Korean Firm
Austin-based HelioVolt, which manufactures thin film photovoltaic modules for the solar power industry, has scored $50M in an investment, the firm said Monday. The investment comes from South Korean energy firm SK TIC and SK Innovation. HelioVolt said the funding will go towards expansion of its Austin manufacturing operations. The two also said they will collaborate on "global capabilities." Bank of America Merrill Lynch served as placement agent to HelioVolt in the deal. More information »
