Think Finance Hires CIO

Forth Worth-based Think Finance, which is developing new financial products aimed at underbanked consumers, said today that it has named a new CIO. The firm--which is venture backed by Sequoia Capital and Technology Crossover Ventures--said that it has hired William A. Kontgis as CIO. Kontgis was most recently CIO for Green Dot, and also had served as EVP and CIO at Countrywide Bank. He has also served at Digital Insight, First Nationwide Bank, and California Federal Bank. Think Finance is developing a number of loan products, aimed at consumers without access to banking services.
