Blockbuster Launches Facebook App

Mckinney-based Blockbuster, the retail movie and game rental chain now owned by DISH Network, said Friday that it has launched a new app which will allow Facebook users to rent and watch movies directly from the social networking site. Blockbuster showed the app at the f8 Developer Conference in San Francisco last week, the development conference for Facebook. Pricing on the rental was not announced by Blockbuster. The app is not yet available, but Blockbuster said the app will be "coming soon."
