Gazzang Expands To PostgreSQL

Austin-based Gazzang, the developer of database encryption software backed by Austin Ventures, has expanded its support of open source databases today, by adding PostgresSQL. The firm said its softare now works for PostgresSQL 8.x and 9.x. PostgresSQL is one of a number of different open source database packages available in the market. Gazzang's software encrypts data within databases, helping companies to better protect their data. Gazzang is headed by Larry Warnock.
