Google Offers Hits Houston

Internet giant Google said today that it is expanding its Google Offers daily deals site in Houston, part of an expansion of the service into five new cities. Google said it had added Houston, Atlanta, Broklyn, Chicago, and Los Angeles to its list of daily deal cities; the firm has been slowly growing the areas it covers all year. The first deal in Houston is a $10 for $20 on breakfast at the breakfast klub. Google is fighting a hugely competitive market segment, which includes not only LivingSocial and Groupon, but thousands of local competitors for the daily deals business.
