Match.com: A Date More Important Than A Job, Say Users

As the holiday season approaches, Dallas-based Match.com says that its singles seem to be more finding a date than a job this season. The firm said it ran a survey of it members ahead of the holiday season, saying that singles are far more interested in finding a "new romatic interest" (46 percent) versus finding a new job (29 percent). The findings are not surprising--the site, after all, is for singles looking for a date--but it does look like at least some people are turning their attentions to things other than the economy. Both a job or a date are, however, more interesting to the site's users than a new iPhone, which 15 percent of users surveyed named as their "number-one wish" for the year. Match.com did not say how many of its members responded to its poll, or any details on its polling methods.
