AT&T Sees Record Q4 Smartphone Sales

Dallas-based carrier AT&T reports this morning that it is expecting to see record sales of smartphones this quarter, saying it is on track to break its single-quarter record for sales of the devices. The firm said it sold 6 million smartphones in the first two months of the quarter, on track to break an earlier, 6.1 million smartphone record. AT&T credited some of the gains to strong interest in the iPhone 4S.
