Dell To Launch Venture Capital Arm

Round Rock-based Dell is getting back into the venture capital business, and has set up a new corporate venture arm, Dell Corporate Ventures, VentureWire reported Friday. According to the WDJ, Jim Lussier, formerly of Norwest Venture Partners, is heading up the new corporate investment arm. Dell previously had dabbled in the venture business during the dot com boom, but had transitioned out of the corporate venturing business with the sale of a number of its investments in 2005.
