OtherInbox Acquired By Return Path

Austin-based OtherInbox, which develops software to help users automatically organize their emails, has been acquired by New York-based Return Path. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. OtherInbox devleoped software which automatically gathered emails from online shopping and social networking sites, making it easier for users to manage email overload. OtherInbox is headed by Joshua Baer, who will continue to run OtherInbox as a subsidiary of Return Path. OtherInbox was venture backed by Wilson Sonsini Investments, Kenny van Zant, Dave McClure, and Naval Ravikant, among others. OtherInbox is one of the firms spawned out of The Capital Factory, which is headed by Baer, Sam Decker and Bryan Menell.
