Roomkey.com Launches Hotel Booking Site, Backed By Hotel Companies

Dallas-based Room Key, a new online search hotel booking site backed by Choice Hotels International, Hilton Worldwide, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, InterContinental Hotels Group, Marriott International and Wyndham Hotel Group, said today that it has launched a new, online hotel search engine. The hotel groups said that the new, joint venture is aimed at allowing users to search for rooms, but book them directly with the hotels included in the engine. The new company is led by John F. Davis III, who was most recently CEO of BirchStreet, and also developed the GDS and hotel distribution service Pegasus, and co-founded 1-800 Flowers.
