Credant Expands Into Australia

Addison-based Credant, the developer of enterprise data protection and security software, said today that it has opened up a new APAC headquarters in Sydney, Australia. The firm also said it has added several new hires in the location, including Nick Riley, who will serve as regional director in the new office. Credant is venture backed by Austin Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Crescendo Ventures, Cisco Systems, and Intel Capital. The company's encryption software is aimed at protecting enterprise data on desktop, laptops, smartphones, and removable media.
