NetSocket Names CTO

Plano-based NetSocket said this morning that it has named Richard Platt as its new Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Engineering. The firm, which develops network performance management products, said that Platt joins the firm from Cisco Systems. He had also served as Selsius Systems, which was acquired by Cisco in 1998.
