Bloomfire Gets $10M For Sales Team Software
Austin-based Bloomfire, a new startup co-founded by former LifeSize founder Craig Malloy, said today that it has raised $10M in a Series A funding round, to go towards helping manage sales team productivity. The round was came from Austin Ventures and Redpoint Ventures. According to the startup, it is initially targeting targeting sales teams with its software, which helps sales teams author and share content, including documents, videos, and more, to help those sales team improve their sales efforts. Malloy, who co-founded and is CEO of the firm, is known for founding LifeSize, which he recently sold to Logitech. Joining Malloy are CTO Dave McCann, who also was previously at LifeSize, and Josh Little, who was formerly a national training manager at Stryker Instruments and the original inventor behind the Bloomfire application.
