Validas Gets Funding For Mobile Analytics
Houston-based Validas, a developer of a software decision engine which tracks trends, patterns, and behavior in mobile phone usage and billing for enterprises, said Monday that it has received a strategic investment from Huntsman Gay Global Capital. Financial details of the investment were not disclosed. Validas, which is headed by Tom Pepe, said that Ronald Garriques of Huntsman Gay portfolio firm Gee Holdings joins the company's board as part of the funding. Validas said it is applying "big data" techniques to analyze mobile bills for utilization information and understanding consumer behavior, among other uses.
