Active Power Loses CFO

Austin-based Active Power, the manufacturer of flywheel-based, backup power systems, said Thursday afternoon that its CFO, John Penver, has resigned. The firm said Penver, who serves as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance, will continue to serve through October 31, 2012. No reason for the resignation was given.
