Texas Venture Investments Drop In Q2
The latest numbers from the PricewaterhouseCoopers and National Venture Capital Association MoneyTree report, based on data from Thomson Reuters, shows that Texas venture investments dropped in Q2 of this year. The report tallied $179.25M in 38 investments for the quarter, down both from Q2 of last year, when there were 47 deals totaling $286.7M, and from last quarter, when there were 43 deals totaling $405.8M. Nationally, there was $7.04 billion invested in the quarter, down 12 percent from the $8.01 billion invested for the same period last year.
