Pervasive Software Gets Unsolicited Buyout Offer

Austin-based Pervasive Software said late Monday that it has received an unsolicited, non-binding letter from Actian Corporation, proposing to buy the company for $8.50 per share in cash. The deal is worth approximately $154M. Pervasive said it will evaluate the proposal to determine the "appropriate course of action."
