Dallas, Austin Rank Highly In Electric Vehicle Charging List

Both Dallas and Austin have ranked highly in a list of the cities with the most availability of electric vehicle charging stations, according to a list released by Xatori, the developer of an app that tracks those charging stations. Xatori, which runs PlugShare, a mobile app and website which helps connect EV owners with charging stations, listed Dallas as number two in the nation, just behind Portland, with 10.6 publicly available electric vehicle charging stations per 100,000 residents; Austin was not too far behind, at number seven, with 5.3 electric vehicle charging stations per 100,000 residents. The ranking was based on public charging locations listed on the developer's app, which includes 11,000 charging stations across North America. Dallas was just behind Portland, number one in the nation, which has 11.1 charging stations per 100,000 residents.
