Mass Relevance Provides Social Site For Ryder Cup
Austin-based social technology firm Mass Relevance reports Monday morning that it is developing a social, second screen experience as part of the Ryder Cup, as part of a deal with Turner Sports. Mass Relevance said that its software is being used at the 13th Man, to give viewers access to fan conversation and reactions during the golf event. The site pulls in Facebook and Twitter conversations, and includes leaderboard rankings and conversations about fans' favorite teams or players. Financial details of the win were not disclosed. Mass Relevance is headed by Sam Decker; the project is apparently not the first for Mass Relevance and Turner Sports.
