GameSalad Takes Games To Windows 8
Austin- and Los Angeles-based videogame creation software developer GameSalad said Tuesday that it is bringing its game creation tools to Microsoft's new Windows 8. GameSalad said that developers creating games in its tool can now deploy them on Microsoft's new Windows 8 operating system, via the Windows 8 App Store. GameSalad's tools allow people to create iPhone, Android, and HTML5 games without requiring programming. GameSalad said the move allows its more than 400,000 developers to also publish those same games to Windows 8. As a further benefit for GameSalad's users, the company said that its top developers will receive free licenses for Windows 8, the latest Windows 8 devices, and more from Microsoft.
