KingsIsle Launches Pirate 101 Beta

Plano-based online game maker KingsIsle Entertainment said this morning that it has launched a beta for its newest title, Pirate101, a new pirate-themed adventure game aimed at families. The company said it has sent out its first round of beta invitations to testers as part of its closed beta. The new game centers around piloting your own pirate ship in a "swashbuckling" adventure. The title is the second for KingsIsle, whose first game was Wizard101. The new title is being launched in partnership with AMD's Gaming Evolved program.
