Emergent Technologies Plans Life Sciences Incubator
Austin's Emergent Technologies is planning to open up a new life sciences business inucbator, according to the ABJ, which says that the incubator will have 2,000 square feet of wet lab space, along with office space, technology infrastructure, and more. Emergent Technologies help commercialize research and turn them into independent companies, and helps get those companies funded. The report says that the new incubator will be at Emergent's headquarters on Bee Caves Road. Wet lab space tends to be one of the most expensive and complicated parts of life sciences related startups, due to the real estate and permitting issues.
