Bazaarvoice Shuffles CEO, Acquires Longboard Media

Austin-based Bazaarvoice said Monday afternoon that it has named Stephen Collins as its CEO, and acquired a California company. Bazaarvoice said that former CEO Brett Hurt has become Vice Chairman of the company, and that Collins--who has been serving as Chief Innovation Officer of the firm since January--as CEO. Collins has been at Bazaarvoice since 2010. Separately, the company said that it has acquired San Francisco-based Longboard Media, a provider of online advertising management services for retailers; the deal was worth $26.9M in cash plus 0.5 million shares of its common stock, or approximately $32.7M.
