ShopSavvy Teams With Ad Network
Dallas-based ShopSavvy, the developer of Android and iPhone barcode scanning and comparison shopping apps, said Thursday that it has inked a deal with vertical ad network Longboard Media. ShopSavvy and Longboard said that they will offer highly targeted, ad campaigns to major brands and retailers. The new deal calls for advertisers to tap into UPC and location-information from ShopSavvy to present ads to mobile users. The two said the first, major buyer secure dby Longboard Media for ShopSavvy is Best Buy. Best Buy will offer up offers, local store inventory, and branding content when users scan specific products. Apparently, the ShopSavvy is seeing CPMs "well north of $500", according to CEO Alexander Muse, as part of those campaigns.
