ShopSavvy Launches Peer-to-Peer Marketplace
Dallas-based ShopSavvy, the developer of the popular barcode and price comparisons applications for iPhone and Android, said today that it has launched a new product which allows users to sell products directly from their smartphones. The firm said its new "SavvyListings" program will connect sellers into ShopSavvy's network of mobile buyers, allowing them to find a home for unwanted products. The new, person-to-person service is an interesting alternative to sites such as eBay and Craigslist. ShopSavvy said the new service is available across all of its mobile apps, which run on iOS, Android, Windows 7 and Symbian. ShopSavvy is headed by Alexander Muse, and says it now has more than 20 million mobile buyers who have downloaded its software, and about 10 million unique users using its apps every month.
