Rackspace Takes On SharePoint

San Antonio-based cloud hosting firm RackSpace said today that it is expanding its set of service, to handle providing design, development, support, and training for SharePoint installations. The firm said it will provide application layer support and professional services to businesses running SharePoint, which is a popular document sharing and information portal for corporations. Rackspace said its services will offer enterprise class infrastructure, administrative support, installation, configuration, backup, restore, and other services. Pricing on the new set of services was not announced.
