Alert Logic Ties Into Amazon Web Services

Houston-based security software developer Alert Logic announced today that it has launched a product specifically for Amazon Web Services. Alert Logic said its software, a beta of Log Manager for Amazon Web Services, collects, stores, and reports on log data in the Amazon cloud infrastructure. Those logs are used for identifying and responding to security events and issues occurring on their cloud infrastructure. The firm said the new software was specifically developed to handle the "unique" requirements of the AWS cloud. Pricing on the new offering was not announced.
