American Airlines Creates Startup Investment Fund

Who's the latest startup investor in Texas? It's none other than Fort Worth-based American Airlines, which apparently launched a new startup investment fund at CES called Blue Ocean. In a panel, Jason Oshiokpekhai, American's manager of business development and strategic partnerships, said that American is looking to invest in high-growth startups, entrepreneurs and incubators. Oshiokpekhai said that American Airlines is interested in high tech, because startups are the fastest growing sector of small business, and there's where innovation is happening.
