AT&T Debuts New Mobile Hotspot For $1
Dallas-based AT&T has rolled out another mobile hotspot, hoping to get customers to use its 4G LTE data network for multiple devices. AT&T said it has launched the AT&T Unite, a 4G LTE mobile hotspot from Sierra Wireless. AT&T said the hotspot connects up to 10 Wi-Fi enabled devices through its 4G network, and costs only $0.99 with a two year agreement; AT&T is encouraging users to add those hotspots to its AT&T Mobile Share plans, which costs $20 a month. AT&T recently restructured its wireless plans to encourage shared data plans, which are charged per-device.
