Veracyte Sets Up Shop In Austin

Veracyte, a developer of molecular diagnostics technology being used to diagnose thyroid cancer, is setting up a new office and laboratory in Austin, according to a report this week. Veracyte's web site lists a number of jobs in Austin, including laboratory management and IT systems and application support positions. Veracyte is based in South San Francisco. The company is venture backed by Domain Associates, Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, TPG Capital, and Versant Ventures.
