CyrusOne Links With Infinera

Data center provider CyrusOne and optical networking provider Infinera said today that the two are in a partnership, to deploy high speed, cloud-based services in Texas. The two said that CyrusOne's Texas Internet Exchange, its high speed, 100 Gigabit per second network, will use Infinera's photonic circuits. CyrusOne has been linking together its facilities with third party carrier hotels in Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio via the optical networking effort. The two said the network is expected to formally launch by the end of this month.
