Xplore Wins Medical Device Firm

Austin-based ruggedized tablet and electronics firm Xplore reported a $2.5M order and customer win with an un-named, medical device engineering company, the company reported this morning. Xplore said it will be providing its rugged tablets to what it described as a leading medical equipment manufacturer. The firm said the order and win comes as a continuation of a relationship that began in 2012. Xplore said the un-named equipment manufacturer is using its ix104c5 Dual-Mode Lite tablet PCs, and that those PCs are used as part of controlling a medical device for taking over the function of a vital organ.
