Time Warner's New InteligentHome Powered By Former uControl Team

Time Warner Cable told its Austin residents today that it has launched IntelligentHome, a new home management and security system in Austin. However, what's most interesting (to our readers, at least) about the service, is it was built thanks to the efforts of the Austin team of iControl, which was formerly part of Austin's uControl. Warner's IntelligentHome service uses the connectivity of a user's broadband connection to provide home security system feeds, lighting and thermostat controls, and more to users anywhere they are. uControl joined with Bay Area startup iControl back in 2010; iControl's Austin office is now run by Jim Johnson.
