Richard Garriott Game Raises $2M On Kickstarter

It looks like if you're looking for funding for your videogame--and your name is Richard Garriott--you can quite easily raise millions through crowdfunding for your latest project. Portalarium, the videogame development firm co-founded by Richard Garriott, said today that it has just raised more than $2M in funding on its Kickstarter campaign, for its new title, Shround of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues. The Austin firm had originally targeted raising $1M to develop the title.
