Portalarium Set To Launch First Game

Austin-based Portalarium, the game development firm headed by Richard Garriott, is set to roll out its first game, Ultimate Collector: Garage Sale, the company said today. The firm said the game will be moving into a closed beta just after the holidays. According to Portalarium, the new game revolves around a quest to find and assemble a variety of collectible items, in the vein of cable TV programs American Pickers, Pawn Stars and Storage Wars. The title will launch on Facebook. Portalarium is venture backed by m8 Capital and the Founders Fund.
