Rackspace Looks To Power OpenStack For Service Providers
San Antonio-based Rackspace Hosting, which has been instrumental in driving forward the OpenStack public cloud effort, said today that it plans to expand a program which will help build and run public cloud infrastructure for other service providers. Rackspace said the service, aimed at telcos and other large service providers, will provide both hardware and software infrastructure, based on OpenStack, to those third parties. Rackspace said it would provide the cloud technology, infrastructure and operational support, go-to-market and sales training, and more to those providers.
