AirStrip Settles Patent Suit With mVisum
San Antonio-based mobile healthcare application provider AirStrip announced today that it has settled a patent lawsuit it had filed against mVisum. According to AirStrip, mVisum has agreed to not offer products that would practice aspects of its patents, and will not market any products that compress, cache, or buffer patient physiological data in a smartphone or tablet. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed. AirStrip said it has agreed to withdraw its legal action as part of the deal, but that the two have not reached any intellectual property licensing deal. AirStrip had sued mVisum in October of 2012.
