Deep Nines Files Patent Suit Against McAfee, Secure Computing
According to the Texas Eastern District Court Docket, Dallas-based Deep Nines has filed a patent suit against McAfee and Secure Computing Corporation. No details on the suit, case number 9:2009cv00089, have been released by any of the parties. DeepNines, a developer of network security software, has been embroiled in a lawsuit against McAfee since 2003, and most recently won a patent suit in July of 2008 against McAfee over an intrusion prevention patent. DeepNines is venture backed by Altitude Capital Partners, Dawntreader, and EFO Holdings. As of press time, an email to Deep Nines for comment on the lawsuit had not been returned.
