Texas Firm Wins Patent Suit Against Cisco
The Woodlands, Texas-based Commil USA, which owns a wireless networking patent, has scored $3.7M in a patent infringement lawsuit against Cisco. According to Dallas law firm Sayles Werbner, Commil USA, its client, had filed the suit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. The patent in question was U.S. Patent NO. 6,430,395, covering technology used to allow wireless devices to move from point to point on a computer network without signal interruption.
