Dell Targets Government Cloud
Round Rock-based Dell said this week that it has launched a new, cloud offering focused on the U.S. government. Dell said its new, Dell Cloud for U.S. Government, provides a dedicated/private and hybrid cloud environment for government customers. The firm said the new offering meets the stringent Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) approval process as well as National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-53 criteria, which are required for government cloud deployments. Pricing on the new offering was not disclosed.
