Austin-based Famigo, which develops child-friendly browsers for mobile devices, is looking forward to new children's privacy rules going into effect on July 1st. The company said yesterday that it is looking to help businesses meet those various requirements, to ensure privacy compliance for children and families viewing content on mobile devices. Famigo is backed by Silverton Partners, Liahona Ventures and Capital Factory. Famigo said it is already working with such organizations as the United Way of Austin, to provide Austin early childhood education centers with its software on tablets, as part of the United Ways' Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics program (STEM).
